FIRST EVER HAJJ PILGRIMS FROM TAMALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The first ever direct commercial flight on Friday August 19, 2016, took off from the upgraded Tamale International Airport to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2016 Hajj.

Hundreds of family members gathered at the airport to witness the historic event as President John Dramani Mahama interacted with them in the plain.
